2x1 — An interview series by Grafill
👩💻 What is the current state of graphic design with regards to 1) female representation and 2) education? Grafill (the Norwegian Organization for Visual Communication) is an interest organisation for those studying or working within the field of visual communication in Norway. I was invited by graphic designer Alejandro Rojas to host a digital interview series on the current state of graphic design, with a practice-based approach: Interviewing two people, one in Norway and one (or more) abroad, about the same topic. Hence, 2x1.
I had such a brilliant time working on this project, which resulted in four digital interviews with the likes of Ane Thon Knudsen and the founders of Notamuse — about women in design; as well as David Reinfurt (Graphic designer and lecturer in visual arts, Princeton University) and Martin Lundell (Professor and Head of Graphic Design and Illustration, The Oslo National Academy of the Arts) — talking about the vast field of design education.
